King Cetshwayo police cluster, police spokesperson Captain Mdlalose says, it is alleged that Shandu went swimming with an unknown man, leaving her clothes and cellphone with her friends who waited for her until late before reporting the matter.

In a separate incident, a 24 year-old woman from Ward 5 in Nseleni went missing after separating with her companions while exiting rhe Moses Mabhida stadium. The woman also disappeared on the 12th of Januaury 2019.

Captaian Mdlalose has urged people to be careful when travelling and to notify others when moving from place to place. He condemned those who disappear with men without communicating with their relatives as this leads to them being reported to the police unnecessarily.
